At MDLDC, we believe that vibrant neighborhoods start with clean, sustainable streets. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce a public recycling program to the area now proudly known as The Heart of Broadway.

Through support from the Recycling Resources Economic Opportunity (RREO) program, MDLDC purchased and installed dual-bin debris and recycling receptacles throughout this busy pedestrian corridor. These bins make it easier than ever for residents and visitors to keep the neighborhood clean while reducing waste sent to landfills.

The impact has already been significant. In 2019 alone, this new collection stream diverted over 9,000 pounds of recyclable materials—helping to protect our environment and keep Broadway looking its best.

This program wouldn’t have been possible without the generous partnership of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, and we’re proud to continue working together to make our city cleaner, greener, and more sustainable.

Next time you’re in The Heart of Broadway, look for the new dual-bin stations and join us in making a difference—one recyclable at a time.
