Accessibility Statement

Last updated: September 19, 2025

MDLDC is committed to making our website accessible to everyone in our community, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and to continuously improve accessibility as our site evolves.

What we’re doing

  • Standards: We use semantic HTML, proper headings, labels, alt text, and ARIA where appropriate to support assistive technologies.

  • Contrast & color: We design for sufficient color contrast and avoid using color alone to convey meaning.

  • Keyboard access: All interactive elements should be reachable and usable via keyboard only, with clear focus indicators.

  • Screen readers: We test representative pages with commonly used screen readers (e.g., NVDA with Firefox/Chrome, VoiceOver with Safari).

  • Media: When we post video or audio, we strive to provide captions and/or transcripts.

  • Documents: We aim to publish accessible PDFs. If you encounter a document that isn’t accessible, we will provide an alternative format on request.

Ongoing checks: We perform periodic manual and automated reviews (e.g., keyboard testing and industry-standard accessibility tools) and fix issues we find.

Compatibility

Our goal is to support the current and previous major versions of modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) on desktop and mobile, and commonly used assistive technologies and operating-system accessibility features.

Known or potential limitations

While we work to ensure full accessibility, some areas may present challenges:

  • Third-party content or embeds (e.g., maps, social media widgets) may not fully meet WCAG requirements.

Legacy or partner PDFs may not be fully accessible.
If you experience a barrier in any of these areas, contact us and we’ll provide a timely, accessible alternative.

Feedback, requests, and help

We welcome your feedback. If you experience an accessibility barrier on our site—or need content in an alternative format—please contact us:

  • Email: info@mdldc.com

  • What to include (if you can): page URL, a brief description of the issue, your browser/device, and any assistive technology you use.

We review all messages and aim to respond within 2–3 business days. If we can’t resolve an issue quickly, we’ll work with you to provide an accessible alternative while we remediate the problem.

Continuous improvement

Plain-language summary

  • We want everyone to be able to use our website.
